Care & Maintenance

To ensure your pieces maintain their beauty and shine for years to come, it's important to follow proper care and maintenance practices. Here's some tips on how to keep your jewellery looking its best:

Storage:
  • Store your jewellery separately in the soft pouch that comes in the Efeja box or a jewellery box with compartments to prevent scratching and tangling.
  • Keep your jewellery away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures to avoid tarnishing and discoloration.
  • Avoid wearing your jewellery while sleeping.

 Cleaning:

  •  Regularly clean your jewellery to remove dirt, oils, and residues that can dull its appearance.
  • Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to gently wipe the surface of your jewellery after each wear.

 Avoid Exposure:

  •  Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals such as chlorine, bleach, and household cleaners, as they can damage the plating and gemstones.
  • Remove your jewellery before swimming, showering, exercising, or engaging in activities that involve contact with water or sweat.
  • Avoid bathing, showering or washing your hands with jewellery on.
  • Wait for hand/face cream to dry before putting on any jewellery.
Maintenance:
  • Inspect your jewellery regularly for signs of wear and damage, such as loose stones, broken clasps, or chipped plating. Address any issues promptly to prevent further damage.
  • If your jewellery begins to tarnish or lose its lustre, consider taking it to a professional jeweller for re-plating or polishing.

  Care Tips:

  • With delicate pieces such as small tennis bracelets. Please only pull it straight. Please do not twist it and do not use a twist motion when you are opening or closing the clasp.
  • Apply cosmetics, lotions, perfumes, and hairsprays before putting on your jewellery to prevent chemical build-up.
  • Be cautious when handling delicate pieces with intricate designs or gemstones to avoid bending or scratching.

 Special Considerations:

  •  Keep in mind that plated jewellery may wear off over time, especially with frequent wear. Consider re-plating your jewellery periodically to maintain its appearance.
  • If you have allergies or sensitive skin, be mindful of the metal content of your jewellery.
